About Me

Born in England and after schooling worked in Barclays Bank before serving for two and a half years in the Royal Air Force.

In 1950 I travelled to Australia and have lived continually in Western Australia.

Throughout my working life I have been involved in community service and had the pleasure of serving the community in Lions, Rotary and in Local Government.

More recently I had an offer to serve the local community by becoming a committee member of the Northside Housing Association and eventually became its Chairman before it was combined with similar bodies in Perth and Midland to become Federation Housing.

The civil marriage program was established in 1973 by Mr Justice Lionel Murphy when the Commonwealth Government sought to provide an alternative for couples seeking to have a marriage ceremony without the need for a religious ceremony or a State Registry Office.

Upon retirement I saw the opening for further community service by becoming a Marriage Celebrant and was appointed in 1995. I appreciate the opportunity of being a contributing factor to the happiness of the bride and groom on their special day and have been pleased to receive hundreds of cards, letters and photos of appreciation.

I am married and my wife and I have three children who are all married with children of their own.

Why not give me a call so that we can have a chat?
